Last time, I opened June with the promise to share a few of my favorite Melplexion® products with you. Not just any products, but ones I personally can’t go without. The kind that made me think: this simply had to exist.

Today, it’s time for favorite number two.
And believe me, this one is close to my heart. A good day cream with SPF for melanin-rich skin was something we truly needed.

I often ask myself… why did this not exist already?

Why SPF?
Because melanin-rich skin needs protection too.
Yes, we burn less easily. But that doesn’t mean we’re safe from damage.
Sun exposure can make dark spots worse. And if you struggle with pigmentation, you know how frustrating that can be.

Melanin gives some natural protection against burning, but not from deeper UV damage.
That kind of damage can lead to hyperpigmentation, loss of elasticity, and early signs of aging.
This is why SPF matters, even if your skin is not fair.

And what about the white cast?
That usually comes from zinc oxide, a natural sun filter that often leaves a visible layer on deeper skin tones.
We knew this had to change.
So we worked hard to make sure our SPF blends in beautifully.
No greyish tint, no chalky film, just a soft glow that sinks in and lets your skin breathe ✨

We chose ingredients I completely stand behind:
